The LFAA submitted that the new Child Support Scheme is potentially a large improvement on the previous Scheme, and that the Government deserves to be congratulated for the courage it has shown in introducing major reform in such a difficult area. However, the effective working of the new Scheme will depend to a large extent on whether the new Family Relationship Centres do what they have been set up to do, namely encourage greater involvement in the lives of children by both parents.More...
